| Austin Brethren Church is a congregation of the Unity of the Brethren, a denomination that traces its roots to the Czech Protestant Reformation in Central Europe in the 1400s. The denomination has always embraced the motto: "In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things love" and thus its congregations welcome believers from any and all Christian traditions. Brethren believe that all who truly know and love Jesus Christ should be embraced as brothers and sisters in Christ, and that instead of focusing on where we are different and thus divides us, we should focus on that which we have in common—our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. |
